Pierre Cassou-Noguès

Me, My Bicycle and the Coastline

Pierre Cassou-Nogues is a philosopher. A philosopher of fiction, who believes in the metaphysics of a seaside edge. He built his own bicycle and is travelling along the Atlantic coast. The aim of this journey: to investigate the effects of the environmental crisis. And what does he see? What does it inspire in him? Over the course of the programme, he tells us that he set out anxious, pessimistic. That beyond what he sees, he meets people. Encounters that allow him to be optimistic. Perhaps we cannot speak of the resilience of territories, but of the resilience of those who inhabit these territories? Choosing the bicycle to travel along the Atlantic coast is a choice in favour of observation. Of taking the time to meet and to talk.

There is no musical break in this episode, which was recorded in March. The guest had a great deal to say!
